Booking courses and individual sessions
  • When booking a course or an individual session your place is only confirmed on receipt of the full payment due. If paying by bank transfer, your place is not confirmed until the payment is received. Please contact us for bank details to send a payment.
  • No refunds are offered but with a min of 7 days notice (for courses) and 24 hours (for individual sessions), places may be transferred to another date (subject to availability).
  • If an individual session is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, the price of the session may still be payable. This is at the discretion of the tutor.
  • While we take every precaution possible, Growing With Calm will not be held responsible for loss or damage to your personal belongings or safety while on the premises where the courses take place.
  • Please inform us if you are taking any medication or suffering from any illness/ill health in advance of attending.
  • Please do not decrease/stop any medication you are receiving from your medical care provider unless they advise you to do so.
  • Discounts – only one discount applies at any one time unless advised otherwise.
Following suggestions (courses/books)

We are not medical practitioners and ask that if completing the course, continuing the recommended practise or reading the books we offer, that you do not take your children off any medication or use our suggestions as an alternative to medical advice.

Data Policy

Growing With Calm is a very small business and Alison Palmer is the only teacher and is committed to ensuring that all data collected from clients is safeguarded. Growing With Calm will not use any data without consent and is committed to ensuring that all its clients information is protected ethically.

Data is collected via our Contact Me form on our website or via a paper registration and consent form.

We collect the following information on our Contact Me form:
Email address
Phone Number
Name

This data will be securely held 

We collect the following information on our school registration and consent forms:
Child's name
Parent's Name
Email address
Child's school name and year group
Phone number
Additional Needs

This data will only be retained for the length of time that we teach your child at their school. Unless we need to contact you specifically about your child, we will not contact you once their sessions have finished.  Paper registrations are stored in our filing system. Growing With Calm will never leave our filing system where it can be accessed by strangers or other customers.

During email, telephone calls or social media exchanges, if you are enquiring about classes or booking, I may ask you to disclose your child's name, age or ask if they have any additional/medical needs. This is ONLY so that I can ensure that classes are safe, suitable and accessible for your child and I will never share this information with anyone else without your consent.

Photo Consent
Growing With Calm will always ask for photo consent and permission from you in writing and verbally where possible. Safeguarding is our main aim and so we can assure you that;
• Any photos/videos will only ever be used for business purposes including business social media, website, advertising and promotion but will never be shared anywhere or with anyone without your consent.
• Growing With Calm will never print names of children or personal information next to images without your consent

Why and How We Use Your Personal Information
• Growing With Calm only ever collect personal information related to the services we provide in the course of running its business. The information we collect is needed to ensure that we provide safe and suitable classes for the individual.
• Growing With Calm require contact details in order to contact you about dates/times and any changes to your sessions or to send you any relevant information we think may help you.
• Details of each lesson will be held for no longer than 7 years after the lesson date, or 7 years after the child turns 18.
