About Me

About me

I have been studying and practising meditation on a personal level for over 14 years. I have explored various different types of meditation and have utilised them all at different stages in my life, dependant on how I needed meditation to help me. I continue to develop my own practise as well as teaching others to do the same. Alongside meditation I have also been practising yoga for a number of years. This has benefited me physically and mentally and is often used as a 'moving meditation'.  I am also now a qualified yoga teacher.

In 2009 I became a Mum and as I began to watch my son grow and develop, I wanted to find a way I could raise him to discover the benefits of meditation as well. I began by working with my personal meditation experience and intuition to create a 'child friendly' approach. Then, to further this, I took my professional qualifications with Connected Kids.  I studied for a number of years, learning different techniques and approaches which makes meditation and mindfulness accessible for children. This also enabled me to use specific strategies to help children with particular struggles such as grief, anxiety, low self esteem and depression. All my coaching is child led and I pride myself on tailoring each session to the individual needs of that child.  No two sessions are the same because no two children are the same.

To further my ability to coach children with particular challenges, I have gained diplomas in Child Attachment, Child Psychology and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.  I am also trained to deliver Mindful Trauma Awareness in my practise. I have also studied ASC and ADHD at length and am a certified Lego therapist.

I have full public liability insurance and am trained in first aid and child safeguarding. I am also fully DBS checked.

My professional training is fully accredited by the IMMA (International Mindfulness and Meditation Alliance)
